I'm so packed with stuff to do here, I can't keep my head on straight. :-/ Thusforth, I'm announcing the cancelling of this blog because I can't keep up with posting pictures in two areas plus nobody seems to read this anymore anyways. So, anyhow, I've been faithfully continuing to put up pictures on the regular picture page, so if you'd like to keep up with the Europe trip from now on, go here:
Europe 2005 Trip Pictures
Of course, you can't post comments there, but feel free to comment on this post if you'd like to! :-)

Paris, France
Taken: 02.19.05 |
Location: Paris, France |
This is a huge and famous cemetary that we randomly happened upon. Lots of famous people are buried here including Jim Morrison and Chopin. |
The huge Louvre art museum. We spent Friday evening checking it out and hardly even got through much of it. |
This is more of the Louvre building. |
The Louvre entrance starting to light up. |
Here is the Mona Lisa. I guess it was cool for its fame, but I find the painting itself so incredibly boring. And it was a lot smaller than I had expected. |
We went in an Egyptian artifacts exhibit that was really awesome and had all sorts of stuff. |
We got outside and the Eiffel Tower was lighting itself up. Every hour it would flash a ton of strobe lights and have a spotlight circle the top of it for about 10 minutes. It was sweet! |
Here is the Louvre all lit up at night. |
The next day we visited Notre Dame. It was very neat! |
The inside of Notre Dame was pretty spectacular also. |
It had a ton of sweet stained glass windows. |
This is Notre Dame once more. I really thought that it was a sweet church. |
Here is a huge monument where the Bastille used to be. We thought that the Bstille was still around here somewhere so we searched and searched, but then determined that it was just a monument. :-( |
Then we saw the Arch of Triumph. Here's Liz in front of it. |
The traffic around the arch was ridiculous. |
Later, I found Mr. Bean's car! |
Then we headed towards the Eiffel tower. Here's Liz and the Eiffel. |
The Eiffel was really huge. I mean very huge. :) |
We walked up to the first level of the Eiffel and got some sweet pictures with the sun playing on the clouds over Paris. :) |
Some more of Paris. The city is just huge. You can't see the ends of it from the Eiffel. |
Here's the big area in front of the Eiffel. |
And then there's a huge palace/museum on the other side of the Eiffel. |
From the second level, this is all that remained to get to the top. We took an elevator up from here. |
Finally at the top we got to see just how incredibly huge Paris really is. |
It was just the perfect time of day too with just enough sun left, but just dark enough to see the beautiful city lights. :-D |
The palace was getting all lit up also. |
I believe that this is the coolest picture I've ever taken. :P |
The Eiffel all lit up in it's glory. |
At the hour it performed its show for us one last time. :) |
Bellinzona, Switzerland
Taken: 02.12.05 |
Location: Bellinzona, Switzerland |
Li and I took a day trip to this small town to check it out and its castles. The streets were all decorated and very pretty and lively. |
The main attraction of Bellinzona is its three castles. The main one is just kinda chillin in the town. |
This is a view from atop the main castle. This town of Bellinzona is below. |
The town and castle are surrounded by beautiful Alps. It's a really nice place to visit. :-) |
This is what the top of the castle area looks like. Just fields of grass and castle walls. |
This is the second castle that makes its way up a small mountain. We didn't have time to go to this castle. |
The third castle is up a lot higher on the mountain and we definitley didn't get there. |
Florence, Italy
Taken: 02.10.05 |
Location: Florence, Italy |
This is the city of Florence. It was a really pretty city. |
Another view of the city and the big church in Florence. |
Liz and I in front of Florence. |
This is how many of the streets looked. They were packed with street vendors selling all kinds of stuff. |
This is the huge church in Florence. Very colorful also. |
Another view of the front of the church. |
One more. :) |
A whole bunch of girlies from our group being weird. :P |
I really liked this building a lot. Looked somewhat like a castle. |
This is a fake statue of David. We did get to see the real statue of David later on but pictures weren't allowed. :-( It was indeed awesome though. :-) |
I thought this statue was pretty crazy and rather violent. |
A cool street. The famous Uffizi art gallery is on the left. |
This is the coolest bridge ever. It has houses and shops attached to it. |
The river in Florence. It was quite purdy there. :) |
Some guy biking. Riding bikes is a big form of transport in Florence. |
Here is the cool bridge again and the river and the city and such. Very pretty. I took this from inside the Uffizi museum. |
I also took this inside the museum. It was just way too amusing to me. I was wondering if I was allowed to breathe the air. |
Later on, Liz and I locked ourselves to a monument where lots of people had locked themselves as well. |
Yep, this is similar to what we did in Verona. |
Now we're locked in Florence for a long time. |
I don't mind too much. :-) |
